In the ‘Esra Erol’da’ program on ATV, the words of a woman speaking in Kurdish were censored.

Besime, a mother who has not seen her daughter for a long time could not stop crying when she saw her. When she hugged her daughter she started expressing her feelings in Kurdish but the channel turned the volume down so that she could not be heard.

While Besime was speaking in Kurdish her daughter said “My mother does not know much Turkish” and translated that her mother was saying that “her heart was tearing out.”

When the volume was turned down for a long while in the program, Esra Erol the presenter of the program, said, “Dear Besime, I know that you are sorry for your daughter but I also want to understand what you are saying.”

The mother started to speak in Turkish after Erol’s warning. (AÖ/PE)
