Report: At least 40 children died of preventable causes in February

The Idea and Art Workshop Association (FİSA) Center for Children’s Rights released an information note about “Violation of Children’s Right to Life” in February.

At least 40 children died of preventable causes in the last month, according to the report.

Twenty of the children were boys and 17 were girls, shows the report based on media monitoring.

One child lost their life because of gender-based violence, four children killed themselves, and five children lost their lives in fires that broke out in homes. One of those five children could not be saved because they had disabilities.

Also, five of the children were refugees from Syria, according to the report.
