Economics Instructor

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College (ECTC) is one of 16 two year colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). ECTC offers daytime, evening, online and weekend classes at several campus locations. Opened in 1964 and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), our goal is to prepare students for successful transfer to Kentucky four year colleges or for immediate entrance into fulfilling careers.

Long Description:
ECTC is seeking a Economics Instructor to teach a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester. Teaching duties include the creation and delivery of course content, using Blackboard for communication and feedback, course design, and student outcome assessment. Emphasis on student success and retention through regular office hours, student advising, internal service/committee work, community service, and professional development. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching, working with a diverse population, and the community and technical college mission. The faculty assignment period is full-time for 10 months (August-May), promotion track. Anticipated Start Date Is January 3, 2022

Position Requirements:
Education: The position requires a Master’s degree in Economics.

Successful candidates should demonstrate:
Ability to teach a diverse body of students in a professional, enthusiastic, and organized manner

Ability to work effectively on a?team?

Strong communications/relationship building skills

Experience with teaching, online education, Blackboard and other instructional education, preferred.
