Turkey reports over 400,000 Covid cases, deaths more than double in a week

The Ministry of Health reported 406,322 new coronavirus cases between July 25 and August 1, up by over 40,000 compared to the previous week.

The number of deaths more than doubled in a week, rising from 157 to 337, the ministry figures showed. Some 387,653 patients were discharged from treatment.

The country’s total number of cases stands at 16.29 million with 99,678 deaths.
