Only days after four people including two children were killed by a Turkish drone strike on Saturday in the Kurdish-majority city of Qamisli in northeast Syria, Turkish drone strikes killed a further four people in the same area on Tuesday, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported (SOHR).
A neighborhood close to the COVID-19 hospital near Qamisli in Al-Hasakah province was targeted by two drone strikes, leaving four people dead and an unknown number of people injured.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the armed forces of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), later said in a statement that four SDF fighters were killed by a Turkish drone strike in the area around 01:30 PM local time, and three were injured.
Seven, including four children, injured in shelling
Hawar News Agency (ANHA) reported seven casualties, including four children, in a separate Turkish shelling in the villages of Sagirka and Tell Ziwan north of Qamisli later in the evening.
The children injured by the strike were identified as five-year old Ilan Salah, 12-year-old Mihemed Salih, 13-year-old Miran Salah and 16-year-old Bilind Mihemend Semseddin.
Earlier in the day, a civilian, identified as 55-year-old Ibrahim Mihemed Heshe, was killed by Turkish shelling in the village of Selmase, southwest of the town of Tell Tamr in Al-Hasakah province.
